Here at Buckland we understand that your dog is just as important as any other member of your family, so we understand that you wouldn’t feel right going on holiday without them. Cherry cottage together with the larger adjacent Buckland House accept our furry friends and being in the rural south west we are sure they will love it too.
Rather than abandoning your dogs to neighbours or kennels, we provide brilliant pet friendly cottages that are encompassed by miles of stunning landscape, footpaths and lanes making dog walking a total delight.
Whether you’re inland or near the coast there is an abundance of dog friendly activities to undertake. There are a number of the best beaches available to dog walkers in the South Hams. Dartmoor has many dozens of exciting walks over rolling hills, through mysterious woods, around limpid reservoirs and across hundreds of miles of moor land.
Cherry Cottage accepts two dogs.
Being in the beautiful South Hams our pet friendly properties are our hallmark with extensive gardens, pleasant pathways and dog welcoming pubs, our dog friendly cottages provide the perfect environment for both pet and owner.
We welcome well-behaved pets, by prior arrangement. We charge £30 per pet per week and are flexible on number and type of pet – talk to us about your requirements.
Dogs must be well-behaved and they must be kept under control as there are free-range ducks and chickens on site and other livestock in nearby fields.
Dogs that are liable to chase livestock must be kept on a lead.
Dogs must NOT have access to the cottage bedrooms.
Please bring your own dog towels.
If you’d like a dog-free day we have a list of day-boarding kennels.
Do not leave your dog unattended in your cottage without prior arrangement.
