“We arrived at Cherry Cottage to find a well presented courtyard.  Parking is more than adequate for two cars (one of ours was actually a VW Transporter van).  We took two dogs along to meet with six of our friends for our annual new year get together.  I have so many positives I need to list them; the house was clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, the lounge was large and there was plenty of room for eight, as was the kitchen diner, the beds were comfortable, the area was quiet, the surrounding are was lovely (especially the walk at Slapton Sands if not windy!).  Lovely place and would definitely go back.” Michelle Bridge

“The house was bigger and more spacious than we had expected; it comfortably slept eight.  It was fully equipped with some extras eg tea, hot chocolate and dishwasher tablets/washing powder etc.  The heating was efficient; the en suite bathroom to the main bedroom was equipped with a powerful shower; no lack of hot water in the house.  Richard was in the area and dropped by to see that all was well, which it was.  The local area is beautiful.  We would definitely consider a return to this area and to this property.” Vincent Iwanek

“Lovely large barn conversion sleeps 8.  There were plenty of ‘home from home’ facilities, including TV, VHS and DVD players, CD radio, all the kitchen equipment you could need in a large kitchen/diner, where the table will seat 8.  The area was lovely and quiet, set about 2 miles from the nearest village, which was very pretty and had a village shop and 2 pubs serving food.  For more facilities, travel to nearby Start Bay (the Start Bay Inn is a must – fresh seafood menu, absolutely delicious!) or Dartmouth where there are the usual supermarkets etc.  With Slapton Ley nature reserve on the doorstep and plenty of walking too, plus pebble beaches with lifeguards and clean toilets, what’s not to like?” Holidaymaker

“A very good family cottage, well equipped with plenty of internal space.  We were holidaying with two young grandchildren so the gardens were a real joy.  The area is ideal, tranquil and quiet but close to lots of facilities and activities.” Mrs J Knapp

“A lovely big property in a courtyard with other properties.  Very well equipped and comfortable rooms/bedrooms.  We were a family of 6 and had a really lovely holiday.  Very challenging lanes but then this is Devon and soon learn how to reverse in tight situations.  I would have no hesitation in recommending this property as it is well situated, once you find the right way, and Slapton is not far away.” Mrs Winfield
